Support Us with Your Donations
The Agriculture Education on the Move program would not be possible without the support from Missouri’s hardworking, dedicated agriculture community and sponsors through Missouri Farmers Care.
Agriculture Education on the Move is continuing to expand to include additional classrooms and student participants. Your support can help impact a child by introducing the fun and exciting world of agriculture.
Financial Support Funds and Expand these Efforts:
Ten-week educational program: Students participate in ten weeks of interactive activities. A variety of supply costs help provide a hands-on experience involving plants, crops, livestock, soil and water movement, nutrition and agricultural careers. Students receive work booklets, where they can put knowledge and application to work.
Educators: Passionate, experienced and trained educators enter the classroom once a week, for ten weeks.
Teacher Workshops: Teacher workshops help provide instruction and resources for teachers to continue dialogue and choose agriculture as a gateway to science, writing, reading, history and math. Day trainings provide a interactive experience with lesson plan introductions and onsite farm tours.
Teacher to the Farm Program: Teachers are given the opportunity to gain Professional Development and Continuing Education credits through a onsite farm experience. There, they learn about modern agriculture production while developing lesson plans and relate it back to their classroom. Consumer information offers insight and addresses common questions about food and today’s agriculture community.
